The quality of the bed was good. There were no written directions, just a scematic. We are not very handy, but were able to put it together, but took all day.
The girls really like the bed. The lower bunk is cozy with the access to the shelves, and having the extra drawers and the desk provide needed storage/work area in a small room with two girls.

This was no impulse purchase. I fell in love with this style of bed in [...] and set my heart on a midnight blue finish. Little did I know how few bunk beds come in this color or configuration. I hunted in every high street and Internet store, but was not prepared to pay the $2600-3000 price tag that was being asked.After much searching we found this system and given the excellent price we decided to take a gamble, justifying our purchase with the fact that it was for a five year old boy who was sure to be pretty tough on it anyway! We were not disappointed. In fact, what arrived over delivered. We are thrilled with the finish, size and quality of the unit, and it is just the right color. [...] All my friends have bunk bed envy and plan to purchase this set for their kids. So get yours quick, they are bound to sell out soon. Highly recommended.
